Engagement model

Independent analysis for important decisions

Flexible research and consulting engagements structured around the question, evidence, and decision context of each organization.

Ellis & Associates provides specialized research and diagnostic assessment capacity without requiring organizations to build additional permanent internal infrastructure.

Structured around the engagement

Engagements may be organized around strategic assessments, organizational diagnostic assessment, research supporting strategic plans, opportunity assessments, institutional assessments, program evaluation, leadership research, organizational performance studies, or independent research reports. The Organizational Performance Assessment™ is the firm's principal diagnostic framework and may be configured for an entire enterprise, a division, a business unit, or a defined organizational function.

Evidence and context

Each assignment is designed around the organizational question, available evidence, appropriate research methods, decision context, and the standards or requirements relevant to the work. Diagnostic engagements draw on multiple independent evidence sources rather than relying on a single survey instrument or standardized questionnaire.

Independent role

Ellis & Associates provides independent research, diagnostic assessment, and evidence-based recommendations. The organization does not replace client leadership, governing bodies, faculty, committees, institutional review processes, or decision makers. Assessment conclusions are based on organizational evidence and are not structured around predetermined management positions or desired outcomes.

Clear findings

The objective is to convert complex organizational information into structured findings that can support strategic decisions. Diagnostic engagements may include an Organizational Performance Index, executive risk and priority classification, a Strategic Action Framework, and a confidential executive briefing. Recommendations are offered for consideration; organizational outcomes are not guaranteed.
